In addition to the skyscrapers, you can find popular destinations like the French Quarter, Bourbon ST, Mercedes Benz Superdome, the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center, The National WW2 Museum, and Harrah’s Casino, all less than a mile away from our front doors.

WALKING
Our location has a Walking Score of 97 out of 100. This location is a Walker’s Paradise so daily errands do not require a car. Nearby parks include Lafayette Square, Commons Park, and Spanish Plaza.
PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION
The Street Car is our form of public transportation and is also known as a “trolly”. The nearest Street Car stop is located a block away on the iconic St. Charles Ave and it costs $1.25 per person. Blue bikes are available throughout the city. If you are looking to rent a bike we recommend downloading the Blue Bike app.
UBER/LYFT
Uber and Lyft are always available and usually very affordable with the minimal waiting time.
PARKING
Due to its location in the heart of the city, we do not have onsite parking of our own. There is metered parking with 2 hour limit between 7 AM and 7 PM, and it’s first come first serve. Overnight street parking is free and has no limitation between 7 PM and 7 AM. It’s essential to pay attention to street signage to identify the areas where parking is allowed.
There are also 12 parking lots/garages throughout the Central Business District area. Most of the garages and lots are operated by Premium Parking. To locate the best parking option for you we recommend you download the Premium Parking app.
EARLY CHECK-IN AND LATE CHECK-OUT
It may be possible to arrange an early check-in or late check-out for an additional fee, but this depends on availability and cannot be guaranteed. However, we offer complimentary luggage storage for our guests to utilize.

1- Metered parking is available with a 2-hour limit between 7 AM and 7 PM, and overnight street parking is free with no limitations between 7 PM and 7 AM. Please keep in mind of street signs to make sure you are parking in allowed areas.

HISTORIC BUILDING
Welcome to the Alexandre Building, a unique and historic location with a rich history dating back to the early 1800s. Over the years, it has served as a newspaper manufacturing plant and the original headquarters of the New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Foundations. We have taken great care to preserve the building’s historical value during its complete renovation, making it an exceptional space that we hope you will appreciate.
It’s important to note that certain parts of the building require extra care due to their age and significance. Your unit’s original windows, front door, and brick walls have been carefully maintained. While the brick has been painted to minimize dust, please be mindful that it may still fall if the walls are touched. Additionally, as with all old windows, some outside street noise may be audible through the sealed-shut windows. The door may also feel heavy and stiff sometimes, but it simply needs a little extra care.
